Ralph was in his late 80s when I started work on his portrait,
He had a Heart of gold. The painting was created in his community
garden he gave to the young people of Powers that needed help
with feeding their families. They grew vegetables there. Ralph was a lumberjack that probably worked in the mills and the cutting of the trees as well, He ended up with arthritis in his hands and goute in his feet, the reason his boots were untied. He spent a lot time on that old bench that was used for every thing under the sun. He had a little tear drop trailer he lived in on the property. He was loved by all the people that knew him. Ralph passed away before I finished his portrait..
